Well heres a very quick snapshot...don't have time to expand more and really should give this a break on Sundays...however..Gardy McGrath launched tvontheweb. they are a full service post producion company with many govt clients...us navy etc(same folks as Ampex which is what sparked my interest)...One of their clients the Maritime association came to them and asked them to consider whether they could launch a Shipping news channel on cable. GMG said not enough cable subscribers with that specialized interest to support the necessary advertising needed etc....however tv over the internet made sense...narrowcasting or community casting etc. Turns out there are 2 million people worldwide with an interest in shipping news etc. The channel was launched...the maritime association underwrites it with an annual fee to tvontheweb. tvontheweb owns the channel and they and the underwriter share in the advertising revenue and down the road any subscriber revenue....

Turns out there are several million such trade associations in the US alone who may have an interest in underwriting a "channel" Advertisers target can target market with great specificity and the economics work on the web. Anyway, I believe GMG's goal is to launch as many as 500 channels etc.

Revenues would be from; annual underwriting fees;ad revenue and subscriber rev. by the way, to madison ave video is key because it provides the longest "length of stay" for a potential customer.
