Hi Mark, I also trade at work, as much as I feel I can without being too distracting from my job and without causing me to get into trouble.

One thing to be concerned about is that employers now have the capability to check for employees with unusually large numbers of phone calls, and they can also monitor internet activity.

I know of some who get around this by bringing in laptops and trading behind closed doors. A cellular phone would be another answer.

Last week I received from Fidelity an ad for a brand new thing that Fidelity is introducing called InstantBroker. It's a small, wireless pager that can give you real time quotes and from which very soon you will also be able to trade. This sounds like exactly what I need, if it works right. I'm going to check with Fidelity and I'll let you know what I learn.
