Craig,
Welcome to the thread. I am extremely pleased to have someone make their first appearance on the thread as you did; pragmatic and searching for useful information. It is good to read that you are considering the purchase of the trial CD to become more familiar with some of Heartsoft's product line. Also I would suggest that you request a copy of their CD, "Guided Tour" of Thinkology, it is free. Thinkology is the product which we hope will help take the company to the next level. It is good to remember though that when we, the retail public, order the software that is what we get, just the software. It is the "fun" part of the product line. The school users, on the other hand, get a product which integrates the software with specific lesson plans with accompanying work projects. It is more than just a software program, it is a curriculum. It was not until I saw what the schools receive that I finally understood what the company was attempting to accomplish. Ben expressed this in his last press release, "Every child is exceptional, given every chance."
Many of us, like Rick, have developed an emotional bond (and we know the ramifications as investors) to this company and its mission. As far as Rick's assertions about "interesting" trading activities surrounding this stock, let me say this; on Thursday and Friday of this past week I watched every trade, every adjustment of the bid and the ask and Rick's concern are not without merit. However, regardless of this, you best summarized the bottom line in your post, "My point is, if this stock is legitimate, it will take a nice slow walk up. People will get in because they believe in the long term potential and not a flash in the pan double your money scheme."
I would suggest you give Ben a call. Given the availability of time he is most willing to talk to a shareholder or "potential" shareholder. You will find a caring individual.
As far as the fundamentals of the company, there is needed work to be done. I believe as Ben gets Heartsoft to become a fully reporting company this year, many of these concerns will evaporate. However, he is still the head of a small company that needs to shore up its infrastructure to prepare for the journey we, as long time shareholders, expect it will make. Again, welcome to the thread and I wish you luck in all your investments.
Take care, Paul |
