Oso, a paradox is exactly how I would define it now. I agree with your points - all of them.
I too won't be selling, and I do believe we'll have immediate, or near-immediate relief in the form of some clarifications in the cc with an upside surprise or two. It appears JT now wants us to focus long-term which would have been fine if he had been saying it all along and not reinforcing, over and over, that things were on track.
That he (ABTX) compressed our view without fully indicating opt outs (ie prices that would not be considered), or without having an absolute minimally-acceptable fallback plan...was risky, unnecessarily, to the devout longs. Bad strategy in short.
Like you, I'm more wary than I was last friday. Still a great company w/ huge upsides..just a different investment for me now. I'll have to view it that way.
Again, i think I'll still own it next Friday, but with different investing objectives. I suspect we'll see some decent upside surprise tomorrow, and I can't WAIT for the pre-market open announcement to create some buzz.
Such a paradox.
