<<<I know of some who get around this by bringing in laptops and trading behind closed doors. A cellular phone would be another answer. Yep! Someone on this very board (not me) does do that (bring laptop to work) As for monitoring internet, a lot of companies do that I hear... especially with firewalls and all. We don't even have the internet at work (yes it's sad) so that is not even an option for me. I am considering a job change in the next 3-6 months and this is a problem for me... in my current situation I can get away with trading (my boss knows and asks me to curb it.. i do for a while, then go back to trading) So I figure if I change jobs when do I ask in the interview "Are you going to let me trade too?" grin As of right now basically I do most of the trading between 9:30-10 AM (for gap ups or gap downs) then again around lunchtime (seems internet stocks always go higher at lunch), and once more in the 2:30-3:30 time frame (good buys at this time as daytraders close their positions) <<< Last week I received from Fidelity an ad for a brand new thing that Fidelity is introducing called InstantBroker. It's a small, wireless pager that can give you real time quotes and from which very soon you will also be able to trade. This sounds like exactly what I need, if it works right. I'm going to check with Fidelity and I'll let you know what I learn. Yes this sounds great! Investrade (who is my broker) has a similar system but you need 1 of 2 Motorola cell phones (those are the only 2 cell phones which the system works with) OR a PalmPilot. then the service is $39/month on top of that.. for alerts and such. So its a bit pricey (new cell phone, new cell phone service OR Palm Pilot ...plus the subscription fee) Tell me when Fidelity sends you the product or sends more information. Thanks, Mark
