Harry-
Was your ProTA demo of the Gold product or just of the regular product? When I tried the demo I was unimpressed, but the Gold product is good to use. Certainly, there are improvements that could be made to make the GUI more consistent, but I think it's a good deal at $200. Note that P&F charts don't conform to the Dorsey Wright standard (but that is slated for a future release), and candles aren't done nearly as well as in Hotline. On the other hand (as I've mentioned before), the Hotline P&F charts show boxes the same size throughout the price range, so if price is $21 it will show the box size of $1 for everything above and below $20, while ProTA shows $0.50 box size below $20 and $1 above 20. I miss the keyboard shortcuts to bring up my daily and weekly bar and candle charts with their accustomed settings, however. My custom in Hotline was to review my portfolio on daily, weekly, and monthly candle charts (with various other indicators set up on each chart) and then look at the P&F charts. This was easier to do in Hotline than it is in ProTA, though I haven't looked into the Chart Suites option yet.

I like the way ProTA allows me to test for alerts on a given date. With Hotline you can run a Master Analysis but it only works for the latest date in a quote file. With ProTA I can check to see what the state of my portfolio was with respect to a given alert at any time in the past.
