Thoughts going into Monday/this week.

Key Dates for Internet sector (please add any if you know)
1/26 - AMZN reports Tuesday after bell
2/08 - YHOO splits 2:1
2/12 - BCST splits 2:1

sometime before 2/9 NAVR should announce its IPO.. it could be tommorow after the bell as that is when its earning report is. Downside on NAVR is roughly $14 as that is its 20 day moving average and has not broken it in over 3 months. So its a good risk reward ratio. I will probably enter that one tommorow if it doesnt gap up much in the AM, if not I'll wait for some lull in the action. And I will exit on the formal announcement (buy rumor/sell news)

Shorter term plays:
*Playing YHOO Feb 270 Calls for the split...
*Own CMGI March 70 Calls because they were on sale Thursday (cheap as heck)
*Playing BCST... maybe sell tommorow, maybe keep
*Probably won't touch AMZN because not sure how it will react with the earnings

AMZN & YHOO... very important to watch for sector health. Both have bounced off 50 day moving averages, and currently sit right BELOW 20 day moving averages. A failure to break the 20 day would result in possible fall back to 50 day... blah. [AMZN $97, YHOO $242] A gap up tommorow which holds up through 10 AM would be bullish for the sector.
AMZN could get wild tommorow/Tuesday before earnings.

DCLK & BVSN & EXDS & VRSN had good weeks last week... watching them.
LCOS ; buyout or partnership material.. a keeper.
VRTY ; people should look into this one...

Short term: Market still looks iffy; would like a nice 500 point drop on the NYSE before jumping wholeheartedly into the market. But, on the flipside in 2 days the NASDAQ lost 5% of its value.. and since we seem to be in a trading range here (9100-9600 NYSE for example) it might be a time to play the long side short term. Time to use caution though; a lot of stellar long term stocks have stalled which is a bad sign.

Long term holdings: Own MFNX, SUNW, INSGY, BRCM Calls (doesnt matter what the market does)

(To satisfy AJ Berger .. these are not recommendations to buy, just mindless musings by a guy on a message board) *grin*
