Strategic Alliance Between Monument Communications and America Online to Bring The Internet into More Homes Across America
MCLEAN, Va. Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Monument Communications, Inc., a marketer of technology services and products, today provided additional information about its strategic alliance with America Online, Inc. (NYSE: AOL - news) to create AOL Select, a new sales and marketing program that combines e- commerce and network marketing. This alliance gives Monument the rights to market the AOL service through a network marketing program under the AOL name and logo, branded as AOL Select. The AOL Select program is in its final stages of development and will be formally unveiled in the next few weeks. While other large corporations such as Primerica, Sprint, MCI and Excel Communications have effectively used network marketing to sell products and services, this marks the first time an industry leader has utilized network marketing to build upon its market strength.
