This particular type of IDSL is 144Kbps symmetrical-
Its just like ISDN BRI U interface (ie single pair) except its not channelized and there is no call setup/teardown. I believe the protocol is per RFC 1490. Effectively the otherwise two ISDN B channels at 64Kbps are combined into a single pipe. The 2B1Q line coding has good reach and does not cause problems in the wire bundles. It's a digital line like ISDN BRI.
