Linux kernel Version 2.2 close to release infoworld.com Linux bandwagon grows infoworld.com The news in the article is that both Hewlett-Packard and Tivoli Systems planning to extend their management platforms to Linux platform. Sounds like the last main Unix OEM finally joining Linux Club. Even more I enjoyed the rest of the article. When this thread was started Linux was a kind of Cinderella in the enterprise world. The article is a very good summary of where Linux has climbed since then. Just one quote from Lotus CEO Jeff Papows:"I have to admit that I was skeptical about why the world needed another Unix, but the advantages are now clear to me". Enjoy the rest at the link above.
