But you're making a logically fallacious argument: the reason they split is because the price has gone up, not the other way round. That's the same kind of argument that goes: people get better when they stop seeing a physician. Bad advice, wouldn't you say ... <VBG>

Also, if you look at peer groups you will find that high priced stocks do not have lower P/Es than their lower priced brethren. Finally, if you look at a chart of Dell you cannot tell where the stock split from price movements. It would be pretty hard to convince people that the value of BRK.A is depressed.
