<<Re: "What for? Usually I don't post my trades at all anywhere."
Then Steven, why did you post (a couple days late) your Intel short position ... Makes you sound "hypocritical".>>
I guess you could call it hypocritical. You may even think that I'm lying.
But like I said I normally don't post my trades at all, tell friends about, even my wife doesn't most of the time what trades I have on. People more or less have to bug me to tell them what I have going. Part of the reason is that I'm in and out of a position a very short time, sometimes 15 or 20 minutes, that trade is history. Another reason is that I like to be a "lone wolf" about the market - I take a position purely on the basis of momentum, resistance and support of the stock, and I never seek out advice from anyone. Also, letting people know you have a certain trade on psychologically tends to get you attached to the position - to prove you are right - which is dangerous.
But, when I wrote that post I couldn't resist gloating over my short of Intel on Wednesday, because I feel it could potentially be a very, very good trade in the end. The stock has minor support at 125 and technically prone to go below 100, possibly in a few weeks.
In retrospect, I won't post any trades here. It goes against my style of trading. Also, some one is bound to come out and criticize you for it, which in the business of trading stocks you really don't need. I get enough criticism from myself especially when things don't turn out well.
