Any statist society is an enemy of freedom. We should be at war with them even if we do not "declare" war.

A fascinating and rather militant contention. Should we be at war with them even if their own people have initiated the move toward statism? Whose freedoms would we be defending, ours or theirs? Who decides where on the economic continuum a state slides sufficiently into statism to be declared an enemy?
