News Corp./Yahoo! -2:Yahoo! To Advertise On Super Bowl Shows
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--News Corp. (NWS) and Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) signed a
national media and marketing promotional agreement.
In a press release Monday, News Corp. said the agreement will join nine of
its Fox entertainment and news outlets with Yahoo.
News Corp. said Yahoo's national network and cable TV advertising campaign
on Fox Broadcast will include primetime and late night advertising on Fox
Sports, NHL Hockey and Major League Baseball.
The relationship will also include tie-ins and cross promotions between
Yahoo and Fox Sports Net, the Fox Television Station Group, FX, Fox News
Channel, Twentieth Century Fox Film, Fox Music and Fox Interactive.
The companies will launch the marketing partnership with Yahoo
advertisements on Fox's Super Bowl Sunday pre-game and post-game progamming,
including the final commercial leading up to the kick-off.
Yahoo also will be a sponsor of Family Guy, which debuts on Fox immediately
after the Super Bowl Jan. 31.
After the Family Guy premiere, Yahoo will host a live online chat with the
series creator and executive producer, Seth McFarland.
