Beware, though, that some of the information there is a bit outdated, such as the number of viruses (currently somewhere around 40.000 variants of around 3000 fundamentally different viruses).

Anothe minor point has to do with the spread of viruses through Web pages - there is now at least one virus that MAY spread to your system if you use MSIE to look at a web page containing that virus - however, that virus relies on a security loophole in MSIE, which has just been fixed, and there are several other reasons why the chances of that virus to spread are absolutely minimal. Nevertheless, the claim that viruses cannot spread in this way is, strictly speaking, wrong.

Apart from this, the information at kumite.com is pretty good, yes.
