Now that I read my posting again it appears ambiguous "one out of thousands that made it"?
I mean again that out of thousands "one made it"; and you're right.
Most of these tiny issues were promoted by boiler room and other insidious practitioners on pink sheets and the BB.
CHEMED is one penny stock (under a different name then) that a friend that loved them recommended to me out of 5 he had purchased. It
took 10 or more years to transform itself into a going concern. The rest of his selection disappeared I recall.
Later I was solicited by an Financial Newsletter writer who gave us many BB issues that went up fast and then burst into nothing. The only way to make money on these was to sell quickly after the first jump which I presume the offerer did. I lost bigtime.
I still bought into ALYA (liking what they're doing) and hold one other. That's my limit in rolling the dice.
