Compaq and eBay Offer Easier Access To Leading Online Trading Community

HOUSTON, Texas and SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 1999--In a step to make buying and selling on the Internet easier, Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ), the largest global supplier of computing systems and eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY), the world's largest person-to-person online trading community, today announced a strategic U.S. co-marketing relationship.
Through the agreement, Compaq later this quarter will feature an eBay icon exclusively on the Compaq Prosignia Desktop 310 and Notebook 210 personal computers. In addition, eBay will promote Compaq Prosignia computers at more than 90 tradeshow events throughout the year.
