I agree with Richie. Today's movement is reflective of the market. At $46 1/2 the news and earnings of 0.36 would be in the price. To move up significantly, independently of the market will require earnings in excess of .40 together with strong forward-looking statements, including a definitive statement that all restructuring connnected with the DEC merger has been put to bed. A blockbuster news announcement might also do it. While I concede that there may be trigger-happy people willing to bid it up on any mention of an internet deal (witness the movement which coincided with Faber's "phantom" announcement last Tuesday, which may have had more to do with the MSFT results) I am not at all convinced that every internet announcement will be immediately beneficial for the share price. The one category of announcment that would do it would be talk of a sell-off of AV. But that would be irrational.

The share could move up beyond $46 if the general market moves up. A sudden end to the impeachment process could do that or a deal to guarantee Brazil. Neither are likely in the very short-term.

Still looking for at least my lower band $48-52 just before or after earnings before falling back to consolidate. Only E-P knows whether the blowout numbers which could lead to a $53-58 band are there.
