If that were the case, especially still three days away from earnings, Prudential would be in for the mother of all insider information inquisitions.

My opinion is that, since so many analysts have already touted Intel (woops, boycott called by sensationalists), TI, Xilinx, Altera and the semi equips, some, like Pru are looking for yet another semi stock to push so they can jump on the semi slump is over bandwagon. They don't want to be left out. Still, hope they're right.

Does anyone think LSI could get the phenomenal boost the semi equips have gotten? Some of these have tripled or so based on 2000 earnings estimates, not 1999. Gonna have to be the case for LSI to go much over current prices. I see Briefing estimates 1999 earnings as just $0.71.
