SL, I totally agree with you on work needs to be done also to keep clinicians up to date. But what incentives do some clinicians have that are hired by HMOs? The only incentive they have is to keep prices down. Just like a lackey that works for the FDA. What incentive do they have to provide more realistic and workable models for efficacy? What type of clinician allows their moron patients to run around with their meds in brown paper bags? Sounds like the same dangerous clinicians that don't spent enough time with their patients and keeping up with research. Hopefully you are starting to see some value in a free market society even in healthcare, not big brother social answers. Yes, I agree SL, much work needs to be done in areas besides the FDA.
