That British slang expression means having a very good time BIGTIME, in case you didn't know! (Or having a really, really smashing JOLLY GOOD TIME!!!)

I guess that to have a good time with a whale, one should be as big as a whale or else one will be thrown or get tail-wacked about too much BIGTIME, eh? <ggg>
