Those are good Liz. How did you like Repo Man and Blue Velvet? I have a completely non-creepy wonderful period piece to recommend for Valentine's day. It is called On Valentine's Day. It was written by Horton Foote who wrote the Orhan's Cycle, a series of plays following an orphan's life. It is the center of a trilogy and is preceeded by the movie Courtship and followed by the movie 1918. The people in these movies are so real you feel you could reach out and touch them. The stories are based on Foote's parent's lives and Hailey Foote, Horton's daughter, portrays her grandmother. Convicts also deals with one of the characters (the orphan) during a period in his boyhood. Convicts, though, is a very harsh movie and not at all like the trilogy mentioned above.
