From what I can tell from the article, the two companies are working along similar tracks and that CNS cell function can be regenerated. However, they only have conducted animal testing. They don't plan to go into phase I/II testing until mid 1999. Neot is now getting the results of the completed phase II human tests analyzed. The results should be out in a few weeks, depending on whether they release the information at some conference or publish a press release. Neot is still at least a year ahead of everyone else in the field.
