Janice, Perhaps AOL isn't worried about any more lawuits because of a 'certain "magic bullet" we've all been waiting for. They sure have been sounding cocky lately despite all their troubles.

I'm hearing more and more VERY positive reaction to how well x2 works.

I've a feeling we'll see them flip that switch REAL soon. I've been watching Steve Case and other AOL execs speaking on CNBC and you'd think they'd be looking all sheepish & hangdog.

INSTEAD, they look like the cat who ate the canary.

Case said something to the effect that a couple weeks patience would reward AOL subscribers immensely. WE know what the reward is.

If USRX outsold their nearest competitor by 5 times in the modem dept. that means their are ALOT of folks out their all set to go x2.

If USRX has 40%(?) of the U.S. modem sales wrapped up then I would imagine that this would ALSO translate to that many AOLers being x2 ready.

I'm talking some of these figures from memory, so please feel free to correct any mistakes, BUT you get my drift.
IF they can get even 20-25% of the AOLers connected at 53-56k that would take alot of the load off the system, no?

Jeff

PS-I haven't heard from you. Did you get my E-mail?
