The Vancouver Sun reports in its Friday edition that last year represented a
milestone for Surrey-based Silent Witness Enterprises, as it graduated to a
Toronto listing from the Vancouver Stock Exchange. Reporter Barbara
Aarsteinsen says the fast-growing small cap company makes video surveillance
cameras that have been installed everywhere from homes and offices to airports,
hospitals, prisons, casinos, showrooms, industrial sites and even buses. Chairman
president and chief executive Ralph Bakshi says the new listing has elevated the
company to the next level. He says Silent Witness plans to apply for a Nasdaq
listing to heighten its profile even more. Mr. Bakshi says that Silent Witness will be
launching several new products this year, some of them new and improved
versions of existing concepts and a few that will be radically different. He has
especially high hopes for the SWC40 camera, which he touts as the first of its kind
in the world.
