Tom going to bat for the cost effective... om's Monday Blurb Created: January 25, 1999 By Tom Pabst Kick the Butt of OEMs! The only ones that can push the OEMs into heavy reconsideration is YOU! Don't eat the crap that OEMs and Intel is serving you. Go to the shops and say "I want a Slot1-Celeron or soon a AMD K6-3-system with a high-end 3D-card, with a good monitor, with a fast and large hard drive and a DVD-drive of the latest technology!". Tell those guys that they can stick up those so-called ‘high-end-systems' with the oh-so-wonderful Pentium II or soon Pentium III processors up their rear end. Destroy the segmentation idea that made Intel and the large OEMs achieve new record-profits last year!
