I am not sure if Apple will slide to $12 in coming July. But, one
thing for sure is that there is no big Apple news between now and
July. It is easy for Apple executives to throw out 100-150 millions
loss ahead of MacWorld fair, and postponed profitable quarter for
another six months, but will be very difficult for them to cover the
defaults. It may need to take several times of efforts to recover
from this bad judgement. Acquiring Next is just a temporary event.
After a couple of days, investors still come back to the fact of heavy
loss. Apple still has lots of cash to burn, and it seems that Apple
is going to have a long and difficult time ahead if Apple executives
are just dreaming about their new OS and forget about the period
between now and July, then the stock price will slide to unbelievable
low before new, and better OS comes out.
