Rustr, re:spoofing and free will Right on! You understand the reason for all this. With a Platform ID, those on either side of a commercial transaction will know the platform with whom they are doing business. Add biometric authentication (or weaker ... password) to the platform and you have determined who is using the platform. If people don't like the feature, they can turn it off and refuse to use sites that require it. Let the market decide. Those who want to protect my "privacy" are pis*ing up a rope. I can do that for myself. One can be overheard using a cordless or cell phone. Does that mean they should not be sold because someone may transmit their credit card number? Beware of those who are trying to protect your "rights". They almost always have one hand in your pocket while they slap you on the back with the other. Greg.
