100% in agreement. Who the hell cares about 300+ mom-n-pop ISPs with a few thousand subscribers when the BIG GUYS have millions of subscribers between the 4-5 of them.

Also I found the post about AOL selling x2 modems interesting. I was on AOL for a trial period and EVERYDAY they had a pop-up screen trying to sell you something. I bit more than once for a few CD-Rom games, a book etc.

If I had AOL, and NO x2, AND AOL popped a 56k in front of me before I logged on, I'd probably think about buying it from them. SMART!

After all the frustration the AOLers have been having, I'm sure that alot will jump at the chance to have a 56.
