Not really, I actually own MS and use many of their bloated products.
But at the same time, I'm not a big fan of monopoly pricing. I'm also not a fan of consumer databases and the real privacy concerns that are engendered by chip id systems.

Security can be accomplished without this type of solution. The government needs to enable the export of encryption technologies which will allow broader standards to be set for secure transactions and identification.

Intel is a monopolist, and like all monopolists, Intel engages in anti-competitive behavior intended to prevent other companies from endangering the benefits of monopoly pricing. IMO, this ID technology is simply another ploy to set protected standards to exclude competitors, and then use IP laws as protections. Just like Slot 1, MMX, KNI, etc.

I understand your interests here, they are naturally self-motivated and focused on your financial self-interest in Intel. The only reason why you ever bought AMD is because you're smart enough (and spent enough time) following the competition to know when opportunities are presented.

But there is a difference between good investing and good ideas. This digital ID system (as proposed) stinks.
