To the die-hard longs & patient sufferers:

In a press release Monday, Integrated Device said its manufacturing restructuring and the writedown of impaired assets will reduce operating costs by about $75 million a year.

IDT Earnings:
FY95 - $ 78.3M
FY96 - $ 118.2M
FY97 - $ (42.3M) (charges of $45M)
FY98 - $ 8.2M
FY99 - $ (292M) (charges of $207M through 3 quarters)

The lower operating costs will help in FY00 but the semi market upswing(if not shortages) along with Winchip .25/3XXMhz chips are needed for a move to 12 and above by late 1999/1st half of 2000.
