Automobile Protection Corporation APCOAnnounces Availability Of Web-Enabled Software Service Advisor Plus By EasyCare

ATLANTA, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Automobile Protection Corporation (Nasdaq: APCO) announced today that Service Advisor Plus(R) by EasyCare(R) has been released for sale to automobile dealers.

Service Advisor Plus by EasyCare is the first maintenance reminder software program marketed to automobile dealers, which enables dealers to establish a direct, post-sale communication link with their customers. Dealers will be able to stay in touch with their customers and have a direct channel to offer service coupons and other products and services.

Service Advisor Plus by EasyCare is a unique program developed by Interval Software of Santa Monica, CA in conjunction with APCO, which is the exclusive distributor of the product. The software features benefits such as automatic maintenance reminders for multiple vehicles, complete manufacturer suggested service schedules and dealer coupons. Once loaded on a customer's computer, the software automatically boots up on a user's start up screen when a reminder is due. The software also includes direct links to a dealer's website. The software is customized for each dealer, with that dealer's logo, message, photograph, map and special offers. With a link to the dealer's website, the software will be automatically updated for changes and new promotions.

APCO has a marketing agreement with www.autoconnect.com, whereby APCO's sales representatives market AutoConnect's website building services to dealers, which are optimized to work with Service Advisor Plus by EasyCare.

Larry I. Dorfman, President/CEO of APCO said: "This development is a first for the vehicle service contract industry. We are partnering with our dealers to bring value to consumers and assist the dealers in increasing their service business. The goal of this web-enabled software is to place the dealer's name in front of the customer on a continuous basis so as to build long-term awareness of the products and services offered by the dealer. We believe this to be a highly targeted cost-efficient marketing approach. We are offering training courses to assist dealers in integrating Service Advisor Plus by EasyCare and e-commerce in their daily business practices."

APCO, established in 1984, is a leading marketer and administrator of products and services to automobile and recreational vehicle dealers. The Company's core business is the marketing and administration of EasyCare(R) vehicle service contracts.
