GLGC just recently made the announcement of
the agreement with AFFX to use their (AFFX) chip
and so I wonder what GLGC plans is the market/use
for the flow through chip.

What I got from Dr. Brennen's talk was that they
only put something on the order of 100 "important"
genes on the flow through chip--whereas while the
affx chip has it's place, the fact that it has 50,000
data points on it makes it a lot more expensive--
and maybe it is slow too...

Regarding chips, Brennen also said that the
flow through chip is something like 40 times
faster...very important for high throughput
screening...and that they "will have profiling
chips shortly".
