They could be another nutcase faction, I agree. (After all, what difference can another nutcase faction do to the GOP, eh? ;-) ).

And yes I agree that the Representative from that District has to be a Democrat. There is talk of Campbell running for a state-wide office in the next elections. So if he decides to get clobbered by "Di Fi", then the nut who replaces him is almost sure to lose the election there.
