Bill,
AOL has indeed split more than once in one year but never in two successive quarters. Yes, there's always a first time, but few companies split when they are in the process of digesting a large acquisition (Netscape) and companies like to believe the share price will hold up. With AOL's recent straight-up run, a few weeks of horizontal movement lack the kind of conviction companies usually want before a split. My guess is no split.
