ATT only added 445,000 in their fourth quarter.
I guess SprintPCS is growing twice as fast.
From ATT's earnings report:
Total net subscriber additions for the fourth quarter were 445,000, an increase of 90.1 percent compared to the
fourth quarter of 1997. For the full year, total net subscriber additions were 1.290 million, an increase of 36.4
percent compared to 1997. The increase reflects the on-going success of the Digital One Rate offer. Since the
program was introduced in May, 1998, AT&T has signed on over 850,000 Digital One rate subscribers.
