Actually I was looking for the formula for the indicator because I wanted to try and 'sniff' out some chart formations with it. Metastock is too slow and then there's the process of transfering lots of data to MSwin format. So I figure why not make a scan in QP2.
I feel using the zig zag indicator would be the best way to find some chart formations ... ie dbl tops and bottoms, triangles, H&S

I really don't know of another way to scan for chart formations like those.

got any ideas?
