No, this is something odd. The numbers on the ticker don't really indicate "true" transfer speeds but seem to be related to compression. Three times now. Normally, my send rate is 1-2 kbps with big gaps between them on all webpages that I frequent. If I send a e-mail with an attached file, I see 30-50 kbps while it is being transmitted. This is what I am seeing while just reading SI. Very strange. Also, each time it has happened, I have shut off my browser and the upload continued till I disconnected from my ISP. I will check out your links, they may be of help. Regards, Tom
