Oh, there is the possibility of a jump in stock value this week on the news. Then people will realize Compaq would not receive the market value of a Yahoo. After that they would sell the stock off in disappointment. That would depress the stock value for a short time. After that the market would more realistically value the stock again.

Another point I don't think we are considering is the Internet companies don't have fewer shares on the market then Comapaq. They mostly traded by individuals who drive the share value up and down. Compaq is an institutional stock. Institutions own about 49% the last time I looked. The institutions drive Compaq's stock price.
