Hi Hans, Good news on Ericcson- Levy addressed it in his CC in response to a direct question- I think Sheila Innis from H&Q. I don't know whether a /license/user basis is a good thing. Software companies would seem to like large lump sums, paid up front. I think Rational must have some type of T&E development work going on at Ericcson or they wouldn't do such a large strategic deal and bear a large portion of the risk. One thing I noticed in the recent press release was a mention of MCI WorldCom. I would love to know what that deal looks like. They are a well-regarded company and a finance analyst/trader I know said a major deal there might add a couple of bucks to the stock. As for RUP, I have heard similar rumblings. I think we should continue to keep this board as free from rumors as possible so I will follow your lead and wait. Opinions about products is one thing and speculations on strategy are another. He said/she said is not very helpful. Anyway, I would think if there is any truth to it, we'll hear shortly- Best Practice Symposiums start tomorrow, I think. SoftLab is a german company, right? They sell repository and SCM technology? Owned by BMW? Maybe there are two SoftLabs.... Any idea about the cash involved? Anyway, I am slightly surprised at the downward movement lately. I would have liked to see slow appreciation given the strength from this past quarter. I guess people did have a four bagger here for a while- tough to hold on to a four-bagger. Talk to you soon.
