Paul and all Intel Investors, Make sure you remember that the new Dixon mobile CPU comes in four flavors: 266PE, 300PE, 333, and 366 MHz. Like the Celeron and the 300A designation, the PE designation is meant only to distinguish the 266 and 300 MHz Dixon from the old mobile Deschutes running at 266 and 300 MHz. All mobile Pentium II 333 and 366 MHz processors are based on the Dixon core, so they don't have the PE designation. This is bound to confuse a lot of people out there, so I'm just here to help. If you want more info, check out: intel.com By the way, if you look at the Winstone 99 benchmarks, you'll see that the Dixon w/ 256K of on-die L2 cache contributes approximately a 7% to 10% increase over the Deschutes w/ 512K of off-chip L2 cache at the same speed.
