Why broker calls me is that I used to do technical analysis of on balance volume the old fashioned way on graph paper. I used it successfully early in my investment experience to chart and select the stocks I would invest in and to sell.

I have worked with the same broker for 20 years actually educating him in technical analysis. I am historically a very good stock picker. My weakness is not following my own picks and advice.
I no longer do the obv analysis by hand or computer. It is too time intensive. This is why I posed the question here.

Thanks for your opinion re distribution. The Insider selling is troubling. I noticed that there is also a opinion re accumulation.

In the response re accumulation by institutions, I like this. Why? Accumulation by institutions often starts when a stock is unkown and grows gradually. Accum. by institutions is often a precursor to a move in a stock.

For example, another stock I am interested in long term is Sotheby's. Over a number of years Sotheby's experienced accumulation by institutions and people known as major investors. That accumulation has now shown in a major move. Obviously the best time to buy Sotheby's was when it was under accumulation.

With IMNR I don't have a good handle on which stage it is in. I thought for a long time it was under accumulation. With the disappointing news on RA there has obviously been some distribution. The big question is whether there was enough distribtuion to destroy the long term accumulation.

So with my broker asking me for an opinion, I decided to pose the question to the IMNR thread.

If anyone has access to the long term figures on OBV of IMNR this would be a definitive answer for me.

Appreciate your response.
