I guess a the end the only thing which counts is the installed GSM base. The clear leaders are ERICY and Nokia. No one of the existing GSM providers will change there suppliers. They will back up there current suppliers. Both Ericy and Nokia have the next generation of core switching products out. LU, Siemens and NT still selling 10-15 year old plattform with some HW/SW modifications.
