All, As an investor in ATHM, I've lurked here for awhile, and I'm impressed with the vision of many of the posters. I'm convinced that a seachange is at hand, that copper will be relegated to the "railroad" of voice and data transportation (cheap, slow and longhaul) and that the future is cable and wireless. As an investor, my questions are: Who will be the Microsoft (software) of the cable industry? Who will be the Intel (hard technology driver) of the industry? Who will be the Cisco (network gear) of the industry? MHO, if you can identify and invest in the right cable centric companies now, you may see equivalent returns as you did from investing in the above companies 10 years ago.
