Hi, Del!!! How did I end up on your lap, anyway?? Did I miss something?? I have been sort of preoccupied lately, but I think I would have noticed something like that!!
It's really sad about the way the earth is being raped and pillaged (as usual) to feed and clothe and house all of us. Sometimes I think it we were totally morally committed to preservation of all the treasures here, we would all live in mud huts and eat worms like most people do. I guess we could have those little mouse-pelt loincloths or something that some people keep talking about over here. I'm not sure how we would be able to spend a lot of time online if we were subsistence hunters and gatherers, though.
I am alarmed particularly to see many varieties of fish becoming scarce in our oceans. Some exotic varieties of tuna are $240 a pound now. I had thought there would be a great levelling of standards of living around the world as the less wealthy countries developed, but sometimes I think the rich will become so envied that the poor will eat them all. Well, now that I think of it, that would accomplish the same thing, but I had hoped for peace in the future, not social strife.
Oh, well, that was depressing!!! No coffee for me tonight, anyway. I just opened a Steinlager beer, New Zealand's finest it says on the bottle, anyway. I don't know about that!! Why did they start putting beer in such big bottles? Did we all double in size or something?? 25 ounces--I'm sure that's not good for anyone, especially me. And do giants shop at 7-11? The Big Gulps look like they hold about a gallon. When I was a little girl a glass was 8 ounces. Now that looks like it belongs in a doll-house kitchen or something.
Oh, well, bottoms up!!!!!!
