You here of brokerage firms turning down trades all the time. Especially the big firms like Smith Barney. Certain stocks are considered high risk for them, and they refuse to trade them. That would put almost all the recent skyrocketing intenet stocks in that category! That's why I use Ameritrade and DLJ. Who wants to pay those high commissions anyhow?
