Not what I wanted to hear, but some good points, well made.
However, does it necessarily follow that, just because open source people today are, for lack of a better term, "counter-cultural," they will always be so in the future, or, if they will always be so, that they will always hate Windows, as opposed to the Microsoft iteration of Windows?
Further, might it not be possible that the kinds of developers an open source Windows might appeal to are a different breed than those who work on Linux and Mozilla? So, even if traditional OSS types won't work on it, someone will. |
