I am puzzled. I've never shorted, but, if I shorted ebay today, how would I have been
squeezed. Assume I have plenty of margin. Are the people getting squeezed only those
without the $ backing. If so, do they actually get squeezed out at mid day...Maybe there is
a post around explaining it, but I don't get it...Also, each daytrader would be working on
their own...Why would you see a conspiracy ? I also wonder where daytraders have so
much dough that they could play with fire, I mean a 200 dollar stock, but maybe that
ain't my biz...

Howard,

I have had first time experience being squeezed. I short 3K shares of AMZN last spring. I had lots of equity and case and believed I could hold the position until the stock retraced. AMZN preceeded to move up every day and a lot of poitns. Then it split and I had 6K short shares. I had hose calls of $50K daily due to the rise in AMZN. I kept wiring the money. Eventually at $50K a day, I ran out and covered.
