Datalink.net Launches New Retail Channel Program
With Totally Wireless

Provides Access to Value Added Services via New Retail Channel

Business/Technology Editors C

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 26, 1999--Datalink.net (OTC BB:NETD), a Silicon Valley Internet-based
company, announced the launch of a new retail marketing program to sell its wireless information services with Totally Wireless,
the company's first strategic alliance to take advantage of an important new retail program.

Totally Wireless, a retail wireless chain with stores primarily on the West Coast, will market all of Datalink.net's wireless
information services to customers nationwide, both in their retail stores and on the Internet. These services include real-time
stock and commodity quotes, breaking financial market news, real-time sports coverage, weather and news headlines, email
alerts -- all delivered to customers' wireless devices.

Anthony N. LaPine, chairman and CEO of Datalink.net, said, ''These services are the first of their kind to be offered through a
retail channel. The ability to offer these value-added services to new mobile wireless consumers will help to differentiate the
Totally Wireless product offering and will enable Datalink.net to reach an entirely new customer base. Additionally, customers
will be able to completely customize their information on the Datalink.net Web site -- 24 hours a day -- and have it delivered to
their wireless device when they want it.''

''Datalink.net is an innovative company with services that are ideal for customers in today's volatile business environment,'' said
Michael Merrill, CEO of Totally Wireless. ''By delivering real time information directly to a pager or PCS phone, Datalink.net
allows customers to stay up to date while they're on the go.''

As an introductory offer, Totally Wireless is offering a free 45-day trial version of Datalink.net's services with its newest
product, InfoSampler(TM). InfoSampler will be offered to new customers at the time of purchase, and to existing customers on
its Web site at www.totallywireless.com/sampler. In Addition to InfoSampler, Totally Wireless will market the following
Datalink.net services in its stores and on its Web site:

QuoteXpress®: Enables subscribers to have real-time stock quotes delivered to a pager or PCS phone on the stocks they
want to know about. It alerts them to the critical changes that they specify, such as price changes or excessive trading volumes.

SplitXpress(SM): Lets subscribers stay on top of breaking market and company news -- including stock splits, buybacks,
mergers and acquisitions, and more -- in real time.

CommodityXpress(SM): subscribers can track commodities in real time including highs, lows and daily closing and real time
updates specified by the subscriber. The service includes all major exchanges.

phone, with up-to-the minute scoring updates and breaking game events.
