Say did you hear the one about...

(apologies to all immigrants and ethnic groups, no offense intended)

Two Italian immigrants meet sometimes to discuss their applications for citizenship. The conversation goes like this:

- Hey Luigi, you getta your citizenship yet?
No Guiseppe, soon, howabouta you?
- No notta yet.
(two months later)
- Hey Luigi, you getta your citizenship yet?
No Guiseppe, next week, howabouta you?
- No notta yet.
(two weeks later)
- Hey Luigi, you getta your citizenship yet?
F**k off you wop.

Or in a similar vein, did you hear about the guy who lusted after a beautiful new house? He didn't have much money, so he maxed out his line of credit for the down payment, and then he went to the bank to get a big mortgage. The bank figured the guy would be able to earn money in the future, so they gave him the mortgage. The guy moved into the house and was very happy with it. The only trouble was, he didn't like paying the mortgage. He figured that since he had already moved in, he'd have his cake and eat it to, so he just stopped paying the mortgage. He felt real pleased with himself and even sent a post to an internet chat site telling everyone how he had scammed the bank for a free house. Guess what happened? The bank foreclosed, and took back the house. I've heard the guy is now living in his mother's basement while he pays off his credit line. He's trying to buy another house and he can't figure out why he can't get a mortgage. Pretty funny, eh?
